Kaley Christine Cuoco (born November 30, 1985) is an American actress. She is known for portraying Penny on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory and Billie Jenkins on the final season of the supernatural drama television series Charmed (2005–2006). Cuoco has also appeared in films such as To Be Fat like Me (2007), Hop (2011), and Authors Anonymous (2014). She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014. In October 2017, Cuoco founded Yes, Norman Productions.
Kaley began working with Young Artist Association as a voice-over actor recording the voice of young Fiona in the feature film Babe: A Pig in the City released Christmas 1998. For much of her later childhood, she honed her acting skills doing guest spots on TV shows such as The Bernie Mac Show and My Wife And Kids until she received an opportunity to launch her into stardom. 1) She has received several nominations for awards
She’s the most nominated person in Emmy history who isn’t British. She has been nominated six times for Emmys, including five consecutive nominations (2009-2013) for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on The Big Bang Theory. That makes her tied with Cloris Leachman and Mary Tyler Moore for most Emmy nominations for acting without a win.
2) She started acting during her childhood
Cuoco was discovered on the set of a Pizza Hut commercial. Cuoco was only 11-years-old at the time and had won herself a slew of child modeling gigs by winning local contests, but it wasn’t until she scored this one Pizza Hut spot that a manager took notice and helped push her towards the TV. Consequently, she was a prominent figure in family movies and television shows during her childhood, including Miracle on 34th Street (1994), Santa with Muscles, and Wedding Planner (both in 1997). Cuoco later appeared in guest roles on shows such as “Ally McBeal,” Lizzie McGuire, and Listen Up.
3) She loves to play tennis.
Kaley is a keen tennis play, and she started playing this game while she was three years old. In reality, before switching to permanent acting in 2002, she was nationally-ranked amateur tennis player. Therefore, she could have become a professional player if she did not quit tennis to concentrate on acting. However, she still enjoys playing tennis. Cuoco’s love of animals stems from her childhood when she would accompany her dad to help nurse baby birds back to health before releasing them into the wild again. She is a big fan of horses but loves all cats, small dogs, guinea pigs, bunnies, and she is now a proud owner of her miniature horse.
Further, Kaley is an avid horse rider, and she owns her stallion named Thor. She regularly rides the horse at an equestrian center near her hometown in California. In 2012, The Big Bang Theory cast surprised their fans with a choreographed dance to “Party Rock Anthem” and “Call Me Maybe.” In this case, Cuoco organized that event. Since she had recruited her sister Briana to assist with the choreography, the actress thought it was ideal for him to surprise the fans who had traveled to the live show. Kaley has four tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her lower back, a Moth on her upper back and a Roman numeral on her upper back The Chinese symbol means faith. Since Cuoco started to play the role of Penny in the Big Bang Theory, she has become one of the most instrumental television actresses globally. After that, her fee rose to $200,000 per episode. By season eight of the show, Kaley earns approximately $1 million per episode. Amanda Walsh was the main actress who was supposed to appear on the show. The Internal Business Times has revealed that Walsh starred in the original pilot where she played the character, Katie. Unfortunately, the producers and writers disliked her role, and they decided to replace her with Kaley. Finally, the network aired the show after Kaley replaced Walsh and played the character Penny.
